At Sandy Point Camp we ask you to release all walleye 18 inches and over, Northerns 27.5 inches and over, and Lake Trout 28 inches and over. The reason we catch these large fish is the angler before you released that fish. In order to catch large fish there has to be large fish. Sounds silly, but true. These fish do not get this large overnight. A 28 inch walleye, a 40 inch northern and a 30 inch lake trout are all close to twenty years old. We ask you to help us preserve the great fishery we enjoy. The future of fishing is in our hands. Always ask yourself what can you do to make the fishing better.
